I work with Craig Forde to deliver our Gold Duke of Edinburgh Expedition module. Last year Craig took students who had never paddled before, gave them the skill level and supported them to successfully complete a canoeing expedition on the River Spey.  Craig communicates well to the students who in turn respond very well and enjoy the process from the first training session, through the first aid training right to the end of the qualifying expedition. From an organisational point, the support Craig provides me as the leader is fundamental to the success of the programme, the whole process runs very smoothly.

We have worked with Safe and Sound Outdoors since 2007 on numerous projects and adventures. Our relationship with Craig and his team has developed over the years. However, it was clear on the first session that we were working with like minded people who understood our students , were flexible and able to respond to the challenging needs of some students who present challenging behaviours or significant needs.

We are an 11-16 mainstream school. However we have a significantly high number of students with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities. I oversee the provision for students with disabilities and Special Needs as well as providing our students life changing experiences to motivate them, maintain interest in school and prevent permanent exclusion. I have been running projects for many years for my special students but Safe and Sound Outdoors has proven to be better than any other provider like it for value and for "customer care"

We knew immediately that we were working with the right people when our students wanted to do things for Craig and his team. We all look forward to our adventures and hope that we are able to maintain this relationship with Craig and Safe and Sound Outdoors for many years.
